An evening walk through Clare College last week after the nightly three-course dinner at Gonville and Caius…
What a day! There were at least three major thunderstorms. I also had the joy of lying cosily in bed between plenaries, listening to the peals of thunder. In an hour, there were at least 10 sets of resounding thunders! Here they give students space to think. I also had the joy of walking to class in the rain that soon came lashing down. Wondrous lightening and thunder ringed the grey sky.
Learning a lot about History. Learning a lot from international students. Learning a number of new tunes in the quiet moments. Also learning that even in such luxury, I prefer to chose when and what I want to eat myself.
